WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- President Biden’s plan to forgive up to ten thousand dollars of student loan debt may impact up to forty three million Americans that still owe on that debt.

South Dakota Senator John Thune says it will also cause more problems.

Thune, on Fox News, said it will be a subsidy to those that owe on the loans.

Thune says it’s the wrong message.

The order would forgive up to twenty thousand dollars for borrowers who got Pell Grants.
