WASHINGTON, D.C.(KMIT)- Chuck Schumer, the Senate Democratic Leader, has suggested that if the Democrats retain control of the US Senate that he will consider asking the Senate to eliminate the filibuster.  Senator John Thune thinks that is a bad idea.

Senator Thune went on in his remarks to recount the Senators, on both sides of the aisle, that have regretted eliminating the filibuster for judicial nominees.  Thune says getting rid of the filibuster entirely will lead to a case of future “buyer’s remorse”.
