Senator Thune took part in committee hearing dealing with broadband

WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- South Dakota Senator John Thune took part in a hearing of the Subcommittee on Communications, Media, and Broadband entitled, “Ensuring Solutions to Meet America’s Broadband Needs.”

During the hearing, Thune talked about his nationwide broadband oversight effort that will hold agencies accountable.

Thune says the funds are too widely spread out.

Thune says their committee has to use better oversight.

Thune pointed to his “Mobile Now” bill that was passed in 2018 as a good framework for oversight.
