PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – The 2021 session of the South Dakota legislature begins at noon today in Pierre.

Long time legislative lobbyist and observer Dave Owen says there are a few issues getting a lot of attention.

Owen, President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says there will be extra money to spend, too.

Owen says having too much money can be a good problem.

Governor Kristi Noem will give her State of the State speech early in the afternoon.
