BURKE, S.D. (KELO) – The little town of Burke South Dakota has been devastated by straight line winds, or maybe a tornado, authorities are not sure yet.

Mayor Tom Glover says many buildings have been severely damaged.

The Mayor has heard of just two minor injuries, so it could have been a lot worse. Burke is effectively shutdown, as recovery gears up.

He says the injured were trying to put cars away in a garage when the garage blew away.

He describes the path of winds.
