SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(WNAX)- Hot humid conditions today will contribute to a possible outbreak of severe weather later today and tonight.

Peter Rogers at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says look for storm development later today.

Rogers says they don’t expect heavy storms or anything approaching a derecho.

The doppler radar in Sioux Falls is off line for repairs now but Rogers says that won’t have an impact on ability to issue warnings.

Rogers says they hope to have the radar back online by the middle of next week.
