PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- Shantel Krebs has been officially hired as the Regional President and CEO of Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre.

Krebs says she believes in Avera’s mission to help people.

Krebs says the Avera St. Mary’s Hospital team provides top notch care for its patients.

Krebs has been serving in the interim job position since March, following the medical leave and passing of Dr. Mikel Holland. Kristi Livermont remains the Administrator of Avera Missouri River Health Center in Gettysburg, which Krebs will also oversee.

Krebs and her husband, Mitch, plan to relocate back to the Pierre area and look forward to once again calling this region home. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding and hunting.
