ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- The Aberdeen Community Concert Association is closing their 2023-24 Season with a great concert and a special offer for the upcoming 2024-25 Season!
On Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 pm Shaun Johnson and the Big Band Experience Concert will be at the Harvey & Cynthia Jewett Theatre in the Johnson Fine Art Center on the Northern State University Campus. Shaun Johnson and The Big Band Experience is a rare, newcomer to traditional pop – fusing a big band spirit with an inventive edge-and garnering a top 5 Billboard spot with the release of their first album. Shaun, an Emmy award-winning crooner (and lead singer of the internationally known vocal group, Tonic Sol-fa) indelibly stamps vocal jazz and swing with a contemporary punch-to the delight of both traditionalists and newcomers – emerging as an original voice in the continuing tradition of the American vocalist.

The Aberdeen Community Concert Association (ACCA) is beginning the 2024-25 Season with
Vocal/Multiple Instrument Quartet: The Hall Sisters on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 4:00 pm. The Hall Sisters are one of the industry’s up-and-coming, premier acts in the country/pop genre. Their show features heart-wrenching ballads and instrumentals, fiery fiddle tunes, and country classics sprinkled with pop. Next concert will be Beo String Quartet: Classical String Quartet and their daring, genre-defying ensemble has taken the classical music world by storm. The SD Jazz Festival Concert follows then Journey Through The Sixties with Sixtiesmania. They are one of the leading ’60s tribute bands in the US, Sixtiesmania covers everything from the Beatles to the music of Woodstock, and everything in between! Closing this amazing season will be the Bachelors of Broadway: Gentlemen of the Theatre on Thursday, April 3, 2025 – 7:00 pm. Performed by three of New York City’s top theatrical performers, Bachelors of Broadway offers soaring and thrilling melodies in contemporary, three-part vocal harmony. This show breathes new life into vintage classics from the Golden Age of Broadway.
ACCA memberships are a tremendous value; including the Bonus Concert there are 6 concerts for these amazing prices: Adults: $75, Students: $25 and a Family (2 adults + children): $155. (The Family membership can be a Grandparent membership for 2 grandparents and 4 student tickets for grandchildren!)
Interior Design Concepts located at 21 N. Main Street serves as the ACCA Box Office. Memberships can be purchased at IDC, Online or at the door at the Shaun Johnson Concert. Individual Concert Tickets will also be available. Adult Advance Tickets will be sold for $30 and Student tickets for $8. Tickets sold at the door will be Adults – $35 and Students -$10.
