SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- Like everything else, the cost of running the city of Sioux Falls is going up.

Mayor Paul TenHaken laid out his spending plans Thursday.

One area of focus is the police department, which the mayor says will begin another recruiting campaign.

As the city grows, Mayor TenHaken says, police department growth will require major investments.

The budget includes more than two-million dollars to add 24 new full-time employees in the police department.
