SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- Sioux Falls Police worked late into the night, sweeping the Empire Mall after there was an active shooting event.
The initial calls came in at about 7:30 after two to three shots were fired.
Police Chief Jon Thum (TOOM) says law enforcement and mall employees acted quickly to get everyone to safety.
Chief Thum says it was NOT a planned attack on the mall.
Instead it appeared to spring out of a disagreement among a group of teens in the mall.
Authorities are looking for a teen-aged boy between the ages of 13 and 17.
The Chief is asking for the public’s help.
