COLMAN, S.D.(WNAX)- Sioux Valley Energy C.E.O. Tim McCarthy has been elected to serve as president of the national Touchstone Energy Cooperative Board of Directors.

Touchstone Energy is a national network of electric cooperatives across forty five states.

McCarthy says they do have an agenda.

McCarthy says the electric industry is facing numerous challenges.

McCarthy joined Sioux Valley Energy in 2013.  The cooperative, based in Colman, serves over twenty eight thousand customers in eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota.
