Sioux Valley Energy still working on repairs from winter storms

COLMAN, S.D. (WNAX) – Sioux Valley Energy, based in Colman, was hit hard by the March blizzard, ice storms and flooding

Spokesperson Carrie Vugteveen says recovery has been expensive.

Vugteveen says their crews are still working on permanent repairs and they have been upgrading as well.

Vugteveen says they aren’t planning on putting many more power lines underground.

Sioux Valley has about 26,000 customers and at the height of the storm about half were without power.
