ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – UPDATE (8/7/19): Veteran Jerry Meadows says he has yet to raise most of the money he was hoping for.  Please see the story below to learn how to donate.

Veteran Jerry Meadows is walking from Sisseton to Aberdeen to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.

The 61-year-old Sisseton man said many people don’t know about Wounded Warriors.

He said veterans include a wide variety of people.

Meadows said there are several options to donate. Individuals can contact him at (701) 403-4993, go to the Wounded Warriors website at bit.ly/2XK9SBf or write a check to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758541, Topeka, Kan. 66675 (include road walker in the memo).

Meadows figures it will take him until late next week to make it to Aberdeen. He said it depends on the weather.
