Six people injured in crash north of Bath Monday

BATH, S.D.(Aberdeen American News)- Three adults and three children were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash five miles north of Bath Monday.

The crash was at 6:04 p.m. at the intersection of Brown County 16 and Brown County 14, according to information from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

According to preliminary crash information Sharon Kleinsasser, 33, of Aberdeen was driving a 2018 GMC Terrain was driving north on Brown County 16 when she failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a 2018 Ford Expedition that was eastbound on Brown County 14.

Charges are pending against Kleinsasser who was not wearing her seatbelt. She who was taken to the hospital along with her passenger. The woman driver of the Ford Expedition, was also taken to the hospital along with the three boys in her vehicle who are 6, 3 and 6 months.

All but the two youngest children had serious but non life-threatening injuries. The two youngest children had minor injuries and were taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
