SkyWest to begin air service in early April

PIERRE, S.D. (KCCR) – The skies over Pierre and Watertown will get busier starting in early April.  Pierre Mayor Steve Harding says SkyWest has announced when Essential Air Service will begin from the South Dakota cities to Denver.

Harding says he expects better service from SkyWest, flying as United Express than previous E-A-S carries.

Part of the move-in process for SkyWest is to move-out infrastructure and property left behind by California Pacific Airlines, who still owes the City of Pierre $38,000.

Harding says he intends to sign a letter this week address to California Pacific indicating that they still have equipment at the Pierre Regional Airport to begin the legal process to remove C-P Air’s property.
