ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- On Monday November 28, 2022 the City of Aberdeen issued a public statement regarding changes to the December and January flight schedule at the Aberdeen Regional Airport. At that time the airline operator, SkyWest, had announced the removal of three of the 14 round trip flights between Aberdeen ABR) and Minneapolis (MSP) due to staffing constraints.
As of today, the reduced schedule for December will remain in place. However, SkyWest has advised the City that the staffing constraints have been resolved for the month of January and all 14 round trip flights will be restored on the January schedule. Beginning January 1, 2023, the schedule of flights between ABR and MSP will be similar to, but not always exact, the following schedule.
Leave ABR around 7:00am and arrive at MSP around 8:15am
Leave MSP around 5:00pm and arrive at ABR around 6:25pm
Leave ABR around 7:00pm and arrive at MSP around 8:20pm
Leave MSP around 9:50 pm and arrive at ABR around 11:20pm
The City of Aberdeen is appreciative to SkyWest for their quick diligence to restore the full flight schedule and look forward to their continued partnership. Air service in and out of Aberdeen is a service that our citizens have come to expect and the City of Aberdeen remains dedicated to operating the Aberdeen Regional Airport and partnering with SkyWest and the USDOT for years to come.
