Slow snow melt welcomed; flood concerns still persist

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The slow snow melt has been just what the area has needed, but spring flooding concerns still persist.

Laura Edwards, State Climatologist, said recent conditions have certainly helped eliminate some of the potential problems.

However, there are still areas of major concern.

Edwards said the main period for flooding has not arrived, yet.

Edwards said all things considered, the past few weeks have been about as ideal as possible.
