The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce and Hub City Radio are teaming up to help our local Chamber members through the negative effects to their business caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are excited to be hosting the Small Act – Big Impact Campaign starting on April 2, 2020 and running through April 17, 2020. The campaign will include an on-air radiothon and follow-up promotion to sell $25 gift cards or gift certificates from participating merchants to local citizens and businesses. The goal is to inject much needed cash flow into our local Chamber member businesses right now!
Participating Merchants:
Businesses must be members of the Chamber to participate. They can sign up by contacting the Chamber by April 3, 2020 at (605) 225-2860 or by emailing: bea@aberdeen-chamber.com. We anticipate 150+ businesses and there is no cost for businesses to participate. They simply need to offer gift cards or gift certificates to their business.
Radiothon Details:
The radiothon will start at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 8th at the Hub City Radio offices. It will be broadcast live on all Hub City Radio Stations including The Rock 94.1, Sunny 97.7, The Point 106.7, Pheasant Country 103.7, KSDN 102.1 FM or 930 AM, and Fox Sports 1420 AM. It will also be on both the Chamber’s Facebook page and each of Hub City Radio’s Facebook pages.
We will be encouraging people to call in or go online to order $25 gift cards or certificates to participating local chamber member restaurants, retailers, and small businesses. An order form, including a list of local participants, can be found at www.aberdeen-chamber.com/SABI

Follow-up Campaign:
After the radiothon, the campaign will continue being promoted on social media and radio through April 17, 2020. People can order gift cards or gift certificates from the Chamber by:

- Mailing or dropping off order form to the Chamber at 516 S Main Street, Aberdeen, SD 57401
After April 17, 2020, Chamber staff will contact all businesses with their total number of $25 gift cards purchased and will arrange pick up and payment of those cards by check through the Chamber office. Our goal is to have a check in the business owner’s hands and all gift cards mailed out to purchasers by May 1, 2020.
Prize Drawing:
There will also be a grand prize drawing at the end of the campaign for anyone that purchases $250 or more in gift certificates for an “Ultimate Aberdeen Package” worth over $500!
