Casey Vining toed the rubber and picked up the victory; over two innings he only surrendered one hit and struck out one while allowing one earned run. In long form reflief, Jaxon Ladner went five innings and scattered four hits and struck out three and didn’t allow any runs. Fresh off of a save performance on Tuesday night, Donnie Soderlund delivered, this time at the plate. He was 1-4 with a 2-RBI single. The Smittys also got RBI’s from Drew Salfrank, Zane Backous and Brendan Livermont.

In both games, the Aberdeen defense was perfect behind their pitchers, committing zero errors in the field. They’ll be off today (Thursday 6/20) and back in action, on the road, against the Renner Post 307 program on Friday at 1 & 3p for a Friday afternoon doubleheader.
