SIOUX FALLS, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – The Aberdeen Smittys made quick work of the Sioux Falls Post 15 squad during a Monday sweep down south; dominating game one 16-2 & thumping Post 15, 13-1 in game two.

In the first game of the twinbill, Phillip Zens picked up the victory on the mound going a pair of innings and only surrendering one hit, while fanning five batters. At the plate, Cooper Eisenbeisz was locked in, going 2-4 with three runs scored + a solo HR & four runs batted in. After a great game against Lake Norden on Saturday, Drew Salfrank continued to see the ball well at the plate. He went 2-5 with three runs scored & three more runs knocked in. The Smittys put up at least one run in each of the five innings played, and putting up a four spot in the first, third & fifth innings.

In game two, the Smittys continued to dominate on the mound as Grant Beyer & Donnie Soderlund combined to surrender just five hits over five innings, with Beyer earning the win. Offensively, it was about as balanced of an attack as you could ask for; every Smittys player had at least one RBI, with the exception of Zane Backous & he was a solid 2-4 with a pair of runs scored. Jaxon Ladner was 1-2 with three runs scored and a RBI.

Even though the offense & the pitching were the headlines, the Aberdeen defense committed zero errors in the field in all 10 innings combined. With the doubleheader sweep, the Smittys have now won six straight games & they’ve outscored their opponents 82-12 over that span. Aberdeen returns home to Fossum Field on Tuesday to battle Renner II at 3/5p on HubCityRadio.com.
