PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- It’s the first full day of Spring in South Dakota, but Winter isn’t done with us just yet as the forecast shows a possible 2+ more inches falling over the next 48 hours or so.
Weatherology meteorologist Ray Miller says the snowfall total so far for the Pierre/Fort Pierre area is about half of the record amount set in the Winter of 1951-52.
Miller says snowfall totals around the state are also well above average.
As far as the weather system moving in, Miller doesn’t expect record amounts.
Forecast for Aberdeen is 2-4″ of snow during the course of the Winter Weather Advisory.
