ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The 74th Annual South Dakota Snow Queen Festival will take place next Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Aberdeen Civic Theatre.

The Junior Snow Queen will be crowned this Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Civic Theatre. Both events start at 7 p.m.

Liz Flannery, South Dakota Snow Queen President, said that 27 candidates will vie for the title of Junior Snow Queen, while there are 30 contestants for the Snow Queen crown.

Part of this weekend’s festivities is a talent show.

There are also other contests included in the festival, including those of Little Princess and Prince, and Senior Snow Queen. There is also a Little Sisters event. Flannery provides the details.

Things will culminate next weekend when the Snow Queen candidates arrive in town.
