PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – U.S. manufacturers are dealing with the impacts of the trade war and rising tariffs on Chinese products.
Dave Owen, President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry says some businesses are in a real bind.
Owen says their members are using different approaches to deal with the rising costs.
Owen says so far, there haven’t been many layoffs.
Owen says most manufacturers say they can hold on another six to nine months before the tariffs really bite.
