South Dakota active COVID-19 cases up a dozen, no new deaths

PIERRE, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The state’s active COVID-19 cases rose by a dozen and there were no new deaths in numbers reported by the South Dakota Department of Health today.

South Dakota had 86 new cases combined with 74 new recoveries, pushing the active infections to 1,194. The state has had 10,360 total confirmed cases and 9,013 recoveries. There are currently 60 people hospitalized because of the virus. The state has had 153 deaths.

Locally, Brown County had 12 new cases and four new recoveries, moving the number of active cases to 53. The county has had 485 total cases, 429 recoveries and three deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 4,655 confirmed cases, followed by Pennington County with 951, Lincoln County with 711, and Beadle County with 598.
