South Dakota Corn donates $100,000 to Feeding South Dakota

ELK POINT, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota Corn has donated $100,000 to Feeding South Dakota. State Corn Utilization Council President Robert Walsh of Elk Point says this is the largest amount they’ve donated to Feeding South Dakota.

He says the demands on Feeding South Dakota have grown due to the pandemic and South Dakota Corn’s members have been and remain committed to helping.

Walsh says the pandemic has led to many being unemployed which has added to the numbers of people needing help from Feeding South Dakota.

Walsh says Feeding South Dakota can utilize the donations they get to purchase bulk supplies of food and get it to those who need it the most.
