ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Last week, the Democratic National Convention was held in Chicago with Vice President Kamala Harris accepting the nomination for President of the United States. The State of South Dakota had 20 delegates casting their votes for Vice President Harris. One of the delegates is Aberdeen’s Deb Knecht.
Knecht talked about what the atmosphere was like that week in Chicago.

On Tuesday night was the roll call vote from each state. Each state had a song used to represent the state. South Dakota’s was the Romantics “What I Like About You”. Knecht talks about how that song was chosen for the state.

Vice Presidential candidate is the Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota. He also has ties to Nebraska during his lifetime.
Knecht was asked how this could impact the rural vote that Democrats have struggled to get in past elections.

Election will take place on Tuesday, November 5th.
