South Dakota Democratic Party to receive funding from the DNC

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Democratic National Committee will contribute at least twenty-three million dollars over the next four years to all fifty state parties.

South Dakota Democratic Party Chairman Randy Seiler says it will help continue their momentum.

The DNC agreement also creates a “Red State Fund” aimed at traditionally republican states. Seiler says that is a policy change from the national organization.

Seiler says other states have become more politically competitive.

Seiler says the national funding will help them in grassroots organizing and voter registration.
