South Dakota Democrats to host town hall in Britton on February 7th

BRITTON, S.D.(Press Release) – Following the success of 2025’s Town Hall Series, the South Dakota Democratic Party (SDDP) is announcing a town hall focused on engaging the South Dakota farmers, ranchers, and other members of the state’s agricultural industry. The event will take place at 2:00 pm on February 7, 2026, at the Britton Area Event Center.

Attendees include U.S. Senate Candidate Julian Beaudion, U.S. House candidate and former USDA State Rural Development Director Nikki Gronli, and U.S. House candidate Billy Mawhiney. Joining the candidates as expert panelists will be Doug Sombke, President of the South Dakota Farmers Union, and Charlie Johnson, a prominent South Dakota organic farmer.

“South Dakota Democrats are committed to engaging with and supporting the farmers, ranchers, and workers who drive our state’s agricultural industry. When Republican leadership fails to host town halls that allow South Dakotans to make their voices heard, Democrats continue to step up for South Dakotans,” said SDDP Executive Director Dan Ahlers.

Further town hall dates and locations will be announced soon.
