ABERDEEN, S.D. (Hub City Radio)- The South Dakota Farmers Union will make their annual appearance at the Brown County Fair.

Executive Director Karla Hofhenke(Hof-Hen-Ke) provides a preview of what to look for.

The sow is estimated to weigh around 300 pounds.  Last year, a sow delivered twelve piglets.  Each piglet was estimated to weigh in around five pounds.

Hofhenke also talked about how the location allows for people to become interactive with the animals and other various programs.

Saturday at the fair will be their forum and this year’s theme is dealing with property taxes.

The forum will consist of:

Brown County Commissioner Mike Gage

Brown County Director of Equalization Gene Loeschke

Brown County Auditor Lynn Heupel

District 1 Representative Nick Fosness

The forum will take place at 12:30PM at the NVC tent.
