South Dakota Farmers Union role at the fair this year

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Fair kicks off on Monday and the South Dakota Farmers Union will be playing a prominent role this year.  It will begin with the ribbon cutting for the new Farmers Union Expo Center on Monday.

National Farmers Union Vice President, Jeff Kippley talks about they got involved in this.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 4pm on Monday at the fair.

Kippley previews what to expect at that location for Fair week.

On Saturday, August 17th, the South Dakota Farmers Union will be hosting a forum with the theme being eminent domain.  Kippley provides a preview.

Kippley explain that this issue goes beyond just what’s happening on landowner’s properties.

The National Farmers Union held their convention earlier this year.  Eminent domain was one of the main topics discussed.  Kippley discuss how that could be applied toward the forum coming up.

Refered Law 21 will be voted on by the people in November.  Kippley also discussed if this will be brought up at the forum.
