South Dakota Farmers Union to address property taxes Saturday at the State Fair

HURON, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- This Saturday at the South Dakota State Fair is South Dakota Farmers Union Day.

The itinerary for the day is as followed:

11:30am-1pm- The Farmers Share Luncheon that include sandwich, chips, and drink for only $2 the same price that farmers make off of it.

1-2pm- Forum with this year’s theme “Who pays the bill? South Daktoa’s Property Tax Crossroads”

Among the panelists include:

Lincoln County Commissioner and Director on the County Commissioner Board Jim Schmidt

District 12 Representative Greg Jamison(Member of the Comprehensive Property Tax Task Force)

Huron School District Superintendent Kraig Sreihhoff

South Dakota Farmers Union President Doug Sombke

2-3pm- Farm Safety Quiz Bowl

The forum and the Quiz Bowl will take place at the Freedom Stage.
