PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Lots of people will be traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and the Superintendent of the South Dakota Highway Patrol wants people to be alert and aware.
Colonel Rick Miller says nice weather will be a benefit.
Miller says a drivers attention has to be on the road ahead.
Miller says using seat belts can save lives.
Last year during the Thanksgiving holiday, there were one hundred ninety-eight accidents, twenty-seven injuries and luckily, no fatalities.
