South Dakota lawmakers deciding what to do with state and federal funds

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- While South Dakota lawmakers will have to decide how to spend almost a billion dollars in federal funds, state tax returns have also brought a bonus.

Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says they will have over three hundred million extra dollars from state tax collections.

Hunhoff says the state dollars can only go to onetime expenses.

Hunhoff says most of the big infrastructure projects will be funded from the federal dollars.

Hunhoff says all the spending decisions will come down to the final day of the session on March tenth.
