PIERRE, S.D.(KJJQ)- South Dakota lawmakers will be asked to add a judge to the circuit that covers Sioux Falls.

State Court Administrator Greg Satizahn provided an update Tuesday morning for the Senate Judiciary Committee. He says they need another judge in the Second circuit.

Satizahn says indigent legal services is a key topic this session.

He says they have legislation to form a commission.

Satizahn says the eventual goal is to transition indigent legal services from a county responsibility to a state responsibility.
