PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota House and Senate are on different paths to a final budget, with each having their own bill at this point.
Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says they are trying to reach an agreement.
The dispute is over spending authority for hundreds of millions of federal dollars.
Hunhoff, Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, says Senators will not hang around on the final day today waiting for the House to pass a budget.
Hunhoff says there are differences of opinion between the House Appropriations Committee and the GOP caucus.
Legislators will return for the final day of the 2022 session on March 28th.
