PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – It’s a much anticipated election day tomorrow and South Dakota Secretary of State Steve Barnett says his office and county auditors are ready.
Barnett says they have seen a heavy return on early votes.
As of Oct. 1, there were just over 165,000 registered voters.
When people go to the polls to vote, they will see people watching them. Barnett says that is allowed and normal.
Barnett says he expects most races will be decided Tuesday night, but Minnehaha County has already announced they will stop counting and finish on Wednesday.
