PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Perdue Pharma, the company that made billions of dollars selling the prescription drug OxyContin filed for bankruptcy after reaching a settlement with some of the states suing for damages.
South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg says the state is part of the lawsuit.
Ravnsborg says the lawsuit and bankruptcy is the best way to get people damaged by the drug the help they need.
