PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Part of the broadband internet expansion across South Dakota will be handled through the cell phone network upgrading to “5G” services.
While the Public Utilities Commission doesn’t regulate that service, Chairman Chris Nelson says they are keeping an eye on it.
Nelson says the higher capacity service is spreading.
Nelson says “5G” is critical for precision agriculture.
Nelson says they can help point customers in the right direction if they have problems or complaints with their digital services.
