PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- The State of South Dakota and the Rosebud Sioux Tribe have signed a new Gaming Compact.
Rosebud Sioux Tribe President Scott Herman says this agreement has been a long time coming.
The agreement allows the Tribe to add 1000 more lottery machines in its casino near Valentine, Nebraska. Herman says the additions will stimulate their economy and the state’s, while also providing more jobs.
Governor Kristi Noem says its a 10 year agreement.
This State of South Dakota and Rosebud Sioux Tribe Gaming Compact is the result of nearly three years of discussion and negotiation.
