PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Fifty-nine-point four percent of South Dakota registered voters cast a ballot in last week’s general election.
Secretary of State Steve Barnett says that is about average.
He says they saw a couple of factors that may have had an impact.
Barnett says they have been working to make voters more aware of their options.
He says most of the get out the vote activity should center on candidates and political parties.
