PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The South Dakota Senate heard about SB245, the amendments sent back by the South Dakota House to among other things would place about $56 million of reserve fund toward homeowner property tax reduction fund.
The only legislator in our region to speak on the bill was Senator Carl Perry of Aberdeen who talked about his support for the bill as amended.
Opposition to the bill also spoke including President Pro Temp Senator Chris Carr of Sioux Falls.
The South Dakota Senate concurred with the amendment on a 20-13 vote. Now the bill heads to the Governor’s desk.
