PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday, the South Dakota Senate debated whether HJR5001(Convention of States) Resolution should be put on the calender for debate.

Senator District 12 Blake Curl offered up the motions and explains why he was in favor of setting a date.

District 2 Senator Brock Greenfield explains his opposition to this motion.

District 33 Senator David Johnson tells the Senate that this resolution received a fair hearing in the State Affairs Committee.

District 10 Senator Mary Sutton feels this should be debated on the Senate Floor.

The South Dakota Senate voted 19-16 to not set a date for the resolution thus defeating it.
