PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota tourism had another successful year with record numbers again.

Those numbers were released during last weeks Tourism convention in Pierre.

Tourism Department Spokesperson Katlyn Svendsen says spending was up….again.

Svendsen says the main number they look for is visitors.

Svendsen says they know many tourism businesses are being maxed out on the services they can provide due to the lack of workers.

Tourism generated over three  hundred sixty million dollars in tax revenues last year, an increase of sixteen million over 2021.
