“We stay true to our values in South Dakota. Our low taxes, historic revenues, and constant investment in infrastructure tells the story of South Dakota’s stability,” said Governor Noem. “Consistency in leadership sends a powerful message. Businesses are very reassured by the level-headed, common-sense leadership that makes this a state that’s ‘Open for Business.’”
Site Selection is the premier publication for economic development in the nation. When businesses are looking to relocate or expand in a new state or community, they often look to Site Selection for guidance.
“When I took office, South Dakota wasn’t high on site selectors’ radar,” continued Governor Noem. “That has changed dramatically! Now, we’re at the top of the list. We are being aggressive to make sure they know they can come here, and we will help them to be successful.”
In recent years, South Dakota has ranked in the top-5 for the Governor’s Cup. This is the first time that a South Dakota Governor has won the Governor’s Cup.
