YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- While the group; “South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws” got their initiative petition signatures verified, they are turning their attention to an issue on next weeks primary ballot.
Campaign Director Matthew Schweich says they are working to stop the approval of Amendment “C”.
Schweich says it’s a confusing situation.
Schweich says they are concerned that their issue could be drawn into a court battle if Amendment “C” passes.
Supporters say Amendment “C” would give taxpayers greater control of government spending.
If approved the Amendment would make future ballot issues get sixty percent approval if they spend ten million dollars or more.
