The Brown County Commission made a quick move when they saw the right property to help with Jail overpopulation. Chairman Duane Sutton on  the need.

Sutton said the property checks all the right boxes to get some relief at least for the near future.

The Commission had addressed this earlier, but needed to move fast to secure the sale, so Sutton called the Special Meeting.

Sutton goes on to list some of the positives of the structure on the 100 block of SW 2nd st

Sheriff Dave Lunzman echoed the sentiment about the open Floor Plan and said that portion is like a blank canvas, which should speed the process along with relative ease. The Building on the 100 block of 2st SW, is often known as the former EAC Building.
