Spring flooding causing damage to Sisseton & Milbank Railroad

MILBANK, S.D.(WNAX)- Spring flooding caused a lot of damage to a railroad in northeast South Dakota.

Mark Wegner, President of Twin Cities & Western Railroad, who operate the Sisseton & Milbank Railroad, told the state Rail Board last week they had major flood damage.

Wegner says it will take some time to make repairs.

Wegner says they are working to provide service to their customers.

The railroad operates on about thirty seven miles of rail between Milbank and Sisseton.
