ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is sponsoring a Star Party on Friday, August 25 from dusk – 11:00 pm at Kuhnert Arboretum located at 2110 South Dakota Street.

A Star Party is a gathering of amateur astronomers viewing the night sky or people just wanting to know more about what they see in the night sky!  Participants may bring telescopes, binoculars, finder/viewing scopes or nothing.  We will spend the evening observing Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon and other deep sky objects together.  People can come for all or part of the time.

This is a free drop-in activity, but if you plan to attend, please call the Parks and Recreation Office at 626-7015 and put your name on the interest list.
