ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is sponsoring a Star Party on Friday, June 19th from dusk – 11:00 pm at the 12th Street Park (1600 S. 12th Street).
A Star Party is a gathering of amateur astronomers viewing the night sky or people just wanting to know more about what they see in the night sky! Participants may bring telescopes, binoculars, finder/viewing scopes if they choose but these are not required. We will spend the evening observing Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon and other deep sky objects together. People can come for all or part of the time.
This is a free drop-in activity. Registration was required however due to the Juneteenth holiday, the offices are closed for today.
