State bracing for strong winter storm coming this week

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- A strong winter storm is expecting to arrive on Tuesday in the state of South Dakota.

Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Aberdeen Kelly Serr provides an update.  The system is broken down in three phases.

Phase one is expected to arrive on Tuesday.

Serr talks about some of the snowfall totals anticipated during this phase through Wednesday morning.

Serr talks about the second phases that expects to begin later on Wednesday which will see the heaviest snowfall & winds that goes along with it.

Total anticipated snow during these two days ranges from 10-20 inches of snow.

The final phase deals with the bitter cold temperatures that is expected to follow.

Serr offer advice for those who had plans to travel midweek.
